Brooks Laboratories specializes in conducting environmental investigation and remediation. A professional, knowledgeable staff of environmental engineers, chemists and field scientists are experienced in performing all phases of site assessments, from transaction screens through Phase I, II and III to remediation of soil and groundwater.

Our staff includes Licensed Environmental Professionals, Soil Scientists and Engineers.

Each site has unique characteristics. For this reason, site assessments are conducted in phases so that no more time and resources are spent to investigate a property than are appropriate for the specific land use. A Transaction Screen may suffice for office or commercial properties with no history of storage or use of hazardous materials. Phase I assessments evaluate a property in greater detail to determine if there is a possibility that hazardous materials may have been released to the environment. Where a possible release is identified, a Phase II assessment samples the soil and groundwater to confirm whether or not hazardous materials were released.

Phase III assessments are required when a release has been identified, and the extent of contamination is determined so that corrective action can be initiated.

Because site assessments are thorough inquiries conducted with due diligence, a property buyer can be confident that he is not purchasing an unrecognized liability.
If a problem is found, and one or more subsequent phases of investigation are necessary, we have the experience to determine what level of investigation is appropriate and to develop the required information in a timely and cost-conscious way.

Our staff is familiar with the State and federal regulations that pertain to site assessments, and has developed solid relationships at the regulatory agencies.

These professionals can become part of your project team, working to achieve your environmental goals.
